And keeping them clean doesn’t have to break the bank. A lot of our clients have been genuinely impressed with our low-moisture cleaning. So what is low-moisture carpet cleaning? Glad you asked.
– Faster dry times. Carpets are usually back in service in about an hour, not overnight.
– Better after-hours security. No hoses running out through a propped-open door, so there’s no doorway left open to the public while we work.
– Less risk to your flooring. Far less water means less chance of loosening the adhesive on glued-down carpet or floor tile.
The technician sprays an encapsulant solution onto the carpet, then works it into the fibers with a rotating tool. As the encapsulant dries, it crystallizes around the dirt. Once it’s dry, the whole carpet gets vacuumed, pulling up the encapsulant along with the dirt, allergens, and soil trapped in the fibers. Any encapsulant left behind dries to a clear, microscopic residue that simply comes up with your next regular vacuuming.
We’ve had Sioux Falls clients tell us their carpets looked even brighter after that follow-up vacuuming, brighter than when we left, and they were happy with it before that. Exceeding expectations is the goal.
Most of our restaurant accounts use low-moisture cleaning for exactly this reason: we can come in after the lunch rush, work quietly in sections while they’re still open, and have the carpet dry by dinner.
We’ll be honest, though: sometimes a job calls for steam or truck-mount extraction, and on those rarer occasions we’ve got that equipment ready to go. But in commercial settings, nearly all of our clients stick with low-moisture once they’ve tried it. (I’d say all of them, but there’s probably still a business somewhere rocking 70’s shag carpet that just isn’t low-moisture friendly.)
